Jamie Hodge began her pilates journey in 2012 while taking pilates mat classes for her dance major Chicago. Jamie always had a love for movement and the human body. She grew up in Buffalo, NY where she often spent her time in the dance studio as a company member on a competitive dance team. After her high school career she attended the University at Buffalo as a dance major and later moved to Chicago to attend Columbia College. While Jamie is only in her 20’a she has already had a long career in dance, studying all styles from the age of 2, and professionally dancing in Chicago and Buffalo. Injury led her to a process of healing and a going back to school to study exercise science with a focus on injury prevention. She became a dance instructor and really focused on training her students to strengthen through pilates exercises which she learned as a dance major. Her teaching career brought her to Dayton where she still works with many dancers in the Miami valley to perfect their craft. Jamie became a Stott Pilates instructor in 2018 and has been teaching pilates ever since. She loves the connection between the mind and the body and enjoys being able to share that passion with her clients. Finding great joy in healing the body through movement and exercise and watch her clients grow!
