Ashley first discovered the Pilates method while attaining her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Miami University in 2004. She found that Pilates is more than just a set of exercises; it is an innovative and holistic approach to wellness that
involves a connection between the mind and body. Pilates has since become her personal passion and foundation for overall wellness. After finishing her degree in 2008, Ashley attained her certification from Body Arts & Science International (BASI) for both apparatus and mat. Her extensive training in biomechanics and physiology allows her to tailor a program to each client based on their individual needs and goals. Ashley believes that we are all unique individuals. She strives for personalization of the Pilates method to provide each client an enriched experience. She realizes that all resistance settings or variations of exercises are not appropriate for everyone, and she adapts her teaching accordingly. Ashley has worked with a variety of clients including women, prenatal and postnatal women, men, adolescents, elderly, athletes, and dancers. Personal interests include spending time with her husband and son, teaching yoga, playing volleyball, and hiking with her two dogs.
