Southdale School in Kettering is having their annual plant sale on May 3rd. The goal of the plant sale and fair is to earn money for a greenhouse at the school. The curriculum is becoming more involved with the garden at all grade levels. And the 5th graders continue to be involved in the farm to fork program DAYS OF TASTE every fall.
Plants are healthy and interesting. Lots of heirloom tomatoes and a great variety of basils and herbs. Most bigger plants will sell for $2 and smaller plants for $1. There will be raffles and games for children and educational activities. Please come and invite your friends! If you belong to a garden club or other group please share the information about the plant sale and fair. Thanks!

Five Rivers MetroPark’s Green Schoolyards Coordinator will talk compost!
Master gardeners will be present to answer any of your gardening questions!
Games for small children will be available for the children to enjoy!
