KAREN RUSSO BURKE
Karen Russo Burke was a professional ballet dancer for 12 seasons before moving to Dayton. She was a part of the Dayton Ballet team for 30 years; first as a teacher, then Dayton Ballet II director, ballet master for the professional company and then artistic director. Entering this new phase of her life, Karen enjoys teaching dance, attempting yoga , gardening, volunteering and enjoying her family. She is excited to be at My Pilates!
SHERRIE GUERRERO
Sherrie Guerrero started her fitness career as a certified personal trainer on Long Island, NY where she was born and raised. After one Pilates experience, she was fascinated and had to learn more which she did when she moved to Texas at the end of 2021. She found that Pilates went hand in hand with her own strength training and love for running. While becoming a Pilates instructor she was able to incorporate her new skills into her personal training sessions and help people in more ways than ever before! Sherrie has a passion for fitness and loves to pass this passion along to others. She also loves helping people feel great about themselves, that’s what peaked her interest in pursuing a fitness career. Sherrie is certified as a personal trainer through NASM and hold’s certifications in corrective exercise, fitness nutrition and women’s fitness. She is a fully comprehensive Peak Pilates instructor. After almost 6 years in the fitness industry, over 2 as a certified Pilates instructor, she’d love the opportunity to help you fall in love with movement!
ERICA COLLINS
Erica Collins is a Certified Hypnotherapist, who graduated from the Hypnotherapy Academy of America in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She has also had the honor and privilege of learning hypnotherapy techniques from one of the world’s leading hypnotists, Master Hypnotist, Gil Boyne. She has been in practice for over 24 years!
She has also worked with “A” list celebrities, world renowned athletes, Olympic Gold Medalists, children and those with physical ailments such as MS and chronic pain as well as patients undergoing cancer and HIV treatment. Erica has even had her own television show called “Yoga with Erica.”
As a retired dancer still dancing and teaching, Erica has been practicing and teaching Pilates, Barre, Yoga and Dance for over 30 years. Erica holds the most advanced yoga accreditation possible-an ERYT 500 and YACEP through the Registered Yoga Teachers Alliance and is also a Certified Yoga Therapist through the IAYT. She has been practicing and Certified in GYROTONIC Method for over 4 years which has brought her immense healing while dancing, improving her fitness goals and regular day to day activities.
Erica is also a Reiki Master teacher, 5 removed from Dr. Usui.
Erica enjoys working with clients to incorporate a mind/body/Spirit approach to allow each client to reach their BEST Self, their fitness goals and fullest potential.
2. Free 30 Minute Intro Pilates Reformer Class. At My Pilates Studio, we believe that Pilates is an exercise modality that creates balance in the body, core strength, flexibility & a way to maintain a desired quality of life. We want to share the gift of Pilates by offering a complimentary Intro Pilates Group Reformer Class. Classes are 30 minutes & limited to 6.
