Schedule Online

We want to welcome back all clients that have resumed their workouts after reopening. We have been diligently maintaining high standards to keep everyone safe & healthy while getting back to doing what we love – teaching Pilates! Just a reminder when you come in for your sessions: Leave your personal items in the car & use cubbies for shoes, phones & keys (lockers closed). Check in at the front desk 5 minutes before your session & sanitize your hands. Wait in reception area for your instructor to get you to start your session. Masks are required for all clients coming into the studio & must be worn until you get onto your piece of equipment with your instructor. You can remove it while working out but when you are moving around in the studio, you must wear your mask even if it is just moving to another piece of equipment or to the restroom. We all need to do our part to be responsible in helping to keep everyone healthy & masks are the way to make a difference. Another shut down of small businesses would have a very negative impact on the studio so I need everyone to understand the importance of this change in guidelines. All instructors will be wearing masks. Socks are required & we are asking that socks with exposed toes NOT be worn as nail polish marks the vinyl. Classes are 55 minutes long to allow instructors time to clean all equipment & props before starting their next session. Our lives have been changed in ways we could never have imagined but embracing this change will allow us to be a part of the solution. If you travel out of the state, I am asking you to quarantine for 14 days prior to returning to the studio. If you travel in state, quarantine 10 days before returning to the studio. Your instructor can do online with you during that time or you can utilize the online classes currently available.We look forward to clients returning soon that are taking time before their return to the studio. We understand your concerns & miss all of you. If those of you wishing to stay home for a while longer that may be missing the movements of Pilates, we are offering online private sessions (30 min or 1 hour) & Pilates mat & BarreAmped classes. Feel free to contact Kathy at the studio for more information. Thanks to all of you for your support of the studio during the mandated closing & your return to working out. I have a favor to ask everyone, with the studio at about 50% capacity, I am trying to keep costs down at this time. Please consider using cash or checks at this time as the credit card fees are very high & can be avoided if we use other payment methods. Thank you for your support of the studio!

We are grateful to everyone supporting the studio, whether coming into the studio or working online with an instructor or doing both. We are going to be offering a variety of focused online classes for anyone that is still working from home or clients that would like to add a class from the convenience of your home. You may be feeling inflexible from too much sitting, tight shoulders & hips, weak core & general lack of flexibility in movement. The classes will be Mondays & Fridays 10-11am – online only. Classes begin Monday July 6th. Monday July 6th class is Pilates Mat with bands (you will need a Theraband 5-6 ft long) Friday July 10th class is Pure Stretch (whole body flexibility using a yoga strap & 2 tennis balls) It will be taught by Donna Gambino, a licensed physical therapist & certified Pilates instructor with over 30 years experience. Donna specializes in orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapy. This is an opportunity to get a great workout in, benefit from her expertise & walk from your kitchen to your workout area! The cost will be the same as a Pilates Mat class & your Mat class packages can be used. You will sign up by contacting the front desk at 937-438-5151 & the day of the class, a link will be sent to you to join the class. You do not have to download zoom, just click on the link. The classes are in MindBody & you are welcome to sign up online through MindBody.

Keeping Healthy in the Studio. To all of our wonderful clients! Per the guidance of Governor DeWine, we finally have a reopening date of Tuesday May 26. When the studio reopens, we will be continuing the use of Covid-19 Guidelines. Our goal is to keep everyone safe & allow all of you ready to come back to the studio, to get your workouts in without worry. We are asking everyone to use your best judgement in any situation that is questionable in reference to staying healthy while you are spending time at the studio. We know there are a lot of new guidelines right now but they are for your safety & ours. We are requiring that all clients who are returning from ANY travel to hold off returning to classes for at least 2 weeks upon their re- turn. In addition, we continue to ask (even under normal circumstances) that anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms please be diligent in removing themselves from classes in advance and not attending until healthy (don’t chance it, think of others). If you are prone to allergies & are sneezing or coughing, please don’t attend sessions as that will create anxiety for other clients. All clients will be asked to use the steps below when entering our studio. Our staff will also limit use of touch-cuing for the time being until further notice, and will take time between sessions to wash their hands for the safety of our entire community. WHEN ENTERING STUDIO: 1. Stop at the front desk to have your temperature taken. 2. Front desk will sign you in to avoid touching the pen. 3. Use the hand sanitizer at the front desk when you arrive. 4. Remain in the reception area until your instructor comes out to get you. We want clients finishing their sessions to be out of the equipment room before you enter. Maintain social distancing while you wait. 5. Socks are required for all clients. We prefer you use your own socks at this time. 6. Leave your purses & personal items in your car to prevent any possible spread of germs from the outside. We ask that the lockers not be used as they are hard to keep clean inside. Leave your phones & keys inside your shoes. 7. It is recommended that you wear a mask but it is not required. Masks will be worn by instructors. 8. We are asking that you pay by check or if you prefer using your credit card, go online to purchase your package. The least amount of touching, the better. At this time, I do not want the front desk to key in the credit card info as the studio is charged extra fees for that. 9. Classes will be 55 min for the time being to allow teachers to clean the equipment & props. We ask that when you are done with your class that you allow your instructor to clean so we know if has been done to our standards. 10. No fans will be allowed due to the fans moving the air around the studio. Use one of the neck coolers as an alternative. 11. All classes will be by preregistration only. No drop-ins. For the month of June, we will be allowing only 3 to join the Group Reformer classes keeping a reformer between each client. We will reassess adding more in July. If using MindBody is not comfortable for you, contact the front desk & they will be happy to add you to class. If you need to cancel, you must cancel the day prior to class since we are only allowing 3 per class to attend at this time. 12. An Industrial Grade Ozone Generator has been purchased which will be run daily. Since ozone is a gas, it can deodorize and sanitize the air in the studio, making sure you get a greater than 99.9% kill rate of bacteria, viruses and molds. 13. A Sterilizer UV Wand has been purchased to help sterilize & sanitize foot & hand straps which helps kill microorganisms & viruses. These are hard to launder so this increases our ability to kill any germs lurking on them. I have attached a link if you choose to purchase your own straps for the studio. You are also welcome to bring your own towels or other props you like to use if that makes you more comfortable. Balanced Body Single D-Ring Loops, Padded (Pair) $38 plus $7.29 shipping 14. For those not quite ready to return to the studio, we will continue to offer private mat sessions – 30 or 60 min. Once opening, we will no longer be offering Mat or BarreAmped classes online. 15. We will continue to use disposable paper towels for cleaning at the end of class & our cleaning solution is approved for the sanitation of Pilates equipment. Our online classes are now up & running beginning Monday March 23. We have included a schedule of classes taking place during our temporary closing. If there is another time or day you would like for us to consider, please share your thoughts. If you have any props at home such as balls, bands, weights, rollers…let us know & we will offer a specialty class. Your teacher will reach out to you to make sure you are able to connect to the class as simply as possible. Classes are pre-registration only so you have several options to accomplish that: You can sign-up via MindBody, contact your instructor to do it for you or email me at info@mypilatesstudiodayton.com. Dear Pilates Family, In this unprecedented time of uncertainty, safety is our top priority. With that in mind and and given we are temporarily closing the studio effective tomorrow, we will be moving to an online format. We are offering BarreAmped classes – private & group, Pilates Mat classes – private & group & private equipment classes for those that have equipment in their home. If you are looking for yoga or belly dance, those will also be offered. We will be using Zoom as it interfaces with MindBody. We are going to continue working with the times the classes have been since you are familiar with them, making some minor changes. If you have a preferred day or time, we will do our best to accommodate your needs. It is so important to keep moving and we are committed to helping you continue to move mindfully every day for your health and wellbeing. COVID-19 UPDATE We have carefully considered how the COVID-19 virus has impacted our community and our world. The safety of our clients, their families, and our staff is of the highest priority at My Pilates Studio. We have always maintained high standards in the cleanliness of the studio & we have now implemented more rigorous hygiene protocol as recommended by the CDC. We respect everyone’s choice to stay home & recommend anyone compromised make that decision. If a client wishes to continue their private sessions, we will continue to accommodate. After speaking with the Dept of Health, we were told that we are able to remain open at this time due to our size. We will keep numbers in the studio under 10 & at this time we will keep 6 feet between clients by leaving a reformer or chair between clients. We are offering Group Reformer classes with modifications. Only 3 clients will be permitted in a group reformer class (a reformer between each client) & there will be no drop-ins. All Group Reformer, Mat Pilates & BarreAmped classes will require online registration or contact the front desk. There can be up to 6 in the Pilates Mat & BarreAmped classes as we are able to spread out. If there is no one signed up for one of these group classes at least 4 hours before the class, the teacher will not be available to teach. Clients & teachers are to wash their hands before their session & after. Teachers will be using verbal cues – not tactile. We will ask that client’s stay home if they are under the weather, have been exposed to someone with the virus, has had a fever in the past 14 days, any respiratory problems, cough or shortness of breath in the past 14 days or traveled on a plane in the past 14 days. We are reducing the front desk hours so you may not see someone at the desk when you come in. Please make sure you sign in so the teacher can be paid. We are asking that you make sure you have sessions available for your class so contact the front desk to make sure you are covered. We so appreciate your support during this very challenging time & we are doing our best to be available for those who need to get their sessions.
