Dr. Victoria T. Strickland, owner of VTS Physical Therapy, LLC earned her Bachelor of Science and Physical Therapy degree at Wichita State University and the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree through the University of Montana. For 25-years she has encompassed everything on the patient care continuum from acute in-hospital care, Skilled Nursing/ Extended Care Facilities, and home health care to private practice outpatient clinics.
Dr Strickland will be offering a Pelvic Floor Health Workshop at My Pilates Studio designed to empower women to begin taking back control over painful and often emotionally distressing issues related to pelvic floor dysfunction. The workshop is lecture plus interaction – standing, sitting & using a mat. You will learn practical tips & exercises to deal with issues relating to the pelvic floor dysfunction.
The workshop is geared to women of all ages and at all levels of physical activity. Studies have shown that a young, never-had-any-kids, high-level female athlete can have a “leaking” problem just like the mother who had children years ago. Incontinence is not the only issue connected with pelvic floor health & she will cover issues with Chronic Low Back/ Hip Pain, SI Joint Dysfunction, Chronic Constipation, Weak Core & Painful Sex.
There are solutions to these uncomfortable & embarrassing conditions so many women struggle with.
